video projection (2.33 min. on loop), audio isolated on a pair of hanging headphones with small illumination from the top

Reaching the cosmos meant winning the Cold war. Every astronaut driven by the goal of the nation left the ground with hopes of eternal glory and heart sinks attached to thoughts of demise.

Darkness swallows the calls for a mayday, the fearful voice seeps through consciousness portraying a tragic image of a woman cosmonaut vanishing in flames in the Earth's atmosphere.

Audio used for installation - the lost cosmonaut radio signal recorded by the Judica-Cordiglia brothers in 1961.

A blood moon against a pitch-black sky, its surface glowing in deep reds and oranges, conveying a mysterious and dramatic celestial event.
